May Day harvest

I went home for a couple of days and madly gardened. And I harvested: Egyptian onions and rhubarb. Not in the same recipe, I think.

How are Egyptian onions different from regular green onions? Do they grow in little pyramids or something?

Egyptian onions are perennials. They produce bulblets on stalks and these fall to the ground and produce new onions. They are very funky looking. The Acadien settlers brought them to Nova Scotia.
