boredom

A rainy day: I took this just before leaving for work, around 8:45 this morning. The Czarina rushed out much earlier and returned in minutes, thoroughly disgusted. I, on the other hand, enjoyed lying in bed with the window wide open listening to the rain pelting down. It had cleared by noon, and now this evening she is out making up for lost time.

I love the premise for your blog! I'm going to enjoy reading it, I know. And just a wild guess, but I bet the Czarina is a Russian Blue, isn't she?

The Czarina was a rescued cat from a shelter that was about to cull its cats. So I don't know anything about her except her age, now 8, and that she was called "Belle". But she quickly displayed her uncatlike quirky personality, which does fit the "Russian Blue" discription, and she does have a blue coat and green eyes. When she immediately began lording it over Miss Johnston, who came from the same shelter at the same time, they had come from the same home, I began to refer to her as "The Czarina`and it stuck. She is a delightly affectionate cat and is very attuned to my moods. When things have gone very wrong, she has been there gently butting my head until the tears stop.
